Instead of buying into the latest buzz being promoted by the “gurus” (read: DayJobKiller), I tinkered with DupeFree Pro instead — A great and free tool from Michael & Steven Grzywacz. DupeFree Pro is a desktop application that allows you to compare articles for duplication, and (if connected to the internet) check for duplication on the web.
DupeFree Pro is a handy little tool that you can use to easily compare your rewritten articles to the original. The program itself is very intuitive and you can easily pick up the functions and go on your merry way.
The interface gives you two panels to work with. Each panel allows you to import an article (supports .txt, .doc and .rtf). Upon importing the article, the program immediately calculates the stats: number of words, sentences and paragraphs. Additionally, you can input your keyword or key phrase into the blank field to calculate keyword density.
When you load another article in the second panel, you can click on that big ‘Compare’ button and it’ll spit out the percentage of duplication. This number satisfies the rules with which a person rewrites his/her article. Some rewrite 20-30%, while some rewrite 70-100%, and some don’t bother. Whatever the case, that’s the key feature. The program also highlights the duplication and matches each corresponding dupe by color.
Finally, the other key feature is the ability to check for duplication on the web. Naturally, you have to be connected to the internet to do this task. Each panel has a ‘Online’ button that checks the big 3 search engines for duplicate content. The results will give you an idea on article saturation.
That’s pretty much it. The program has a rotating banner pointing to PLR article membership sites embedded with the affiliate code of course, making this a great viral marketing tool indeed. Nevertheless, it’s marketing like this that makes the program free. Oh, and you have to sign-up to the newsletter to get the download link. An overall great program to have in your online toolkit.

Dupe Free Pro Software locks when we compare an article to check on internet. Had to close down the application and start again, which is annoying as compared to copyscape. So use of this function is the limitation for dfp. You can check thousands of words at a time from copyscape as verses only 50-60 words from dfp which is again time consuming. Also it shows the result in pop up browser. It should be in dfp software. Also it requires 50% CPU usage to check the contents of 50 words, which is harmful to comps.
